OSSTA Balangir Will Boycott H.S.C. Exam Valuation

Report by Prasanta Kumar Rout, Balangir: OSSTA Balangir circle will boycott H.S.C. Exam valuation. 

According to the sources Recently there was a guilty found by the Dist. Circle Inspector for conducting H.S.C. examination and he suspended two teachers regarding this matter. But the fault was not by those teachers and it was the fault of the higher authority said by OSSTA Balangir circle and therefore it is decided to boycott the valuation of H.S.C. exam if the suspension order of two of those teachers will not be rollback. 

The incident happened in the “Bapuji High School, Kandhkelgan” which is situated near the “Saintala” Block of Balangir district. 

On date 8th March, 2013 there was an exam. for the subject “History” in the class 10th Board exam. Before the exam the History Question Packet was opened up by the exam. authority of the exam centre, “Bapuji High School”, but unfortunately in that packet no History question papers were there. In that packet actually “Geography” question papers were there which has to be conduted on the next day i.e. on 9th March, 2013. During that incident the deputy superintendent Mr. Manbodh Padhan and the Tusra High School Nodal Centre incharge Mr. Khusiram Biswal were present. After that incident they immediately informed the matter to their higher authority. The nodal centre authority immediately arranged the History question paper and the exam was conducted smoothly. But this was a serious matter and also a matter of concern, so the Balangir Dist. C.I. Mr. Sanjeeb Singh found the guilty of both Mr. Padhan and Mr. Biswal and suspended them.

The centre superintendent of the said high school, Mr. Netrabhanu Panda who is also the Head Master of the school said that, the fault was not by the school authority, it was the fault of the nodal centre and higher level authority, so the punishment should be given to them. The suspension order is totally injustify and it should be lifted. The matter was represented in front of the teacher association OSSTA and it is decided that the OSSTA will support those suspended teachers and if the suspension order will not be lifted then they will not cooperate to the valuation of matric exam.
