Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Bhubaneswar: The state government has submitted a proposal to the centre government for grant of Rs 700 crore for NRHM projects in the state during the year 2010-11. The executive committee meeting of the NRHM held in the Orissa Secretariat on Friday under the Chairmanship of the Chief secretary Tarunkanti Mishra . In the Janani Surakhya Scheme 16.27 lakhs has been benefitted during the year 2006- 09, and 4.3 lakh has been benefitted in the year 2009-10 .
Up to 31-12-2009 Rs 537 crore has been sanctioned for NRHN projects in the state and Rs 242 crore 50lakh 46 thousand has been spent. For the year 2010-11 the government has submitted the proposal of financial assistance of Rs 700 crore.
Among others development Commissioner Satya Prakash nanda, Principal Secretary of the ST department Asok Kumar Tripathy, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare department Anu Garg , Secretary of the Rural Development Rangalal Jamuda, Commissioner cum Secretary of the Women and Child Development department Sailendra Narayan Sarangi, Special Project Director of the Panchayati Raj Department Susil Kumar Lohani were present.
