Bhubaneswar: After Vigilance submitted its report on the much-hyped health scam, the State Government directed Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation to take action against 34 engineers and 61 contractors. Eight contractors of the Works Department would also be blacklisted.
Eight contractors of the works department would also be blacklisted. After the World Bank expressed its dismay over the quality of work under Odisha State Health Project, the state government had directed the State Vigilance to conduct thorough probe. Later, the Vigilance conducted the inquiry and recommended to file cases against the contractors and engineers. It was also decided to penalize those contractors who had misutilized the World Bank money. The meeting also decided to issue necessary direction to the secretary (works), MD, IDCO and director, Odisha Health Services in this regard.
