Census Directorate instructs Orissa government not to transfer primary teachers
Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Bhubaneswar: The Census Directorate has instructed the departmental authorities not to transfer the primary teachers engaged in the census work. The census work in our state will be started from 7th April. The primary teachers engaged in the census works should not be transferred by 31st March 2011.

The Director of Census Bishnu Charan Sethy told here on Wednesday that in the first phase the census will start from 7th April 2010. About 72 thousand enumerators and 12 thousand suvervisors have been engaged in this works. The state has been devided in 90 thousand Census blocks. About Rs 65 crores to be expended for the purpose. The enumerators will survay on 35 subjects. Information of  51 thousand 349 villages to be collected. About 1892 Master Trainer have given training to 72 thousand enumerators.
