Orissa government decides to transfer 25% lecturers completing 6 years

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa government has apparently decided to transfer 25 per cent of the lecturers who have already completed six years of service in their respective colleges. Listing of such lecturers is complete and the higher education department would send the proposal to chief minister Naveen Patnaik on June 16 for his approval, sources said.  The list will come out on the department's website on the same day.

Sources in the department said that the state government is all set to transfer all the lecturers of colleges of twin city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar who have been posted since March 2003.

Every lecturer transferred would go to a college in another district. The state government would not transfer all the lecturers completing six years in their respective collages as it feels that the transferred lecturers would go on leave en masse that would affect the teachings.
