Report by Dipti Ranjan Kanungo, Bhubaneswar : The students help line has been inaugurated by the School and Mass Education Minister Pratap Jena on Tuesday in the OPEPA Office premises . The school students , their guardians now can file their grievances directly to the higher authorities from today. They did not have to submit written application / petition. They have to only call toll free help line No- 1800 3456722, The receiver of the call will note down the complaint / grievance . After that the School and Mass Education department will take necessary action for solve the problem.
Secretary of School and Mass Education Smt Aparajita Sarangi told Orissa Diary that the help line will work on every working days from 8.00am to 8.00pm. The students help line will work in the OPEPA Office ( grievance cell) from to-day . It will be computerized and officer in charge will communicate with the field officers concerned for solve the problems. The Directors of Educations will review it weekly and report to the Secretary of the department. If necessary, the name of the complaints will keep secret. It has been compulsory to exhibit the students help line number on the wall of every schools.
