Report by Dipti Ranjan Kanungo, Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has reviewed in the Orissa Secretariat on Monday regarding preparation of Maps and E-Registration of Revenue Department. Revenue Minister Suryanarayan Patra, Chief Secretary Bijaya Kumar Patnaik, Additional development Commissioner Rabi Narayan Senapaty, Revenue Secretary R.K.Sharma, Special Relief Commissioner Nikunja Kishore Sundaray were present.
The Chief Minister directed the department officers to modernize and digitalise the maps of all Tahasils and Districts including all revenue villages. It has also been decided to survey through satellite. For the first time it will be started in Palli and Padmanavpur of Ganjam District as Pilot project. Then it will be extended to other areas.
It has also been decided to complete the computerization of all the Tahasils immediately. The computerization of 176 Tahasils in last stage. The Chief Minister directed to speed up the computerization of the newly opened Tahasils. It has also been decided to again start E-Registration of Motu, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpurtahasil and Sub – Registrar office .
