Report by Saumya Parida; Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik likely to appoint IPS Prakash Mishra as new DG of the state police. It should be noted that current DGP Manmohan Praharaj is supporter of suspended MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. DGP Manmohan Praharaj has been holding the post since 2008.

IPS Prakash Mishra who is the Director General of the National Disaster Response Force and Civil Defence ( NDRF and CD) today meet CM Naveen Patnaik here.

It should be noted that on Saturday, in a major IPS reshuffle Abhay was appointed as Additional DG Personnel while M Akshay took charge as Director Crime Records Bureau. Similarly S S Hansda was appointed as Director of State Forensic Laboratory and Dayal Gangwar was posted as Commandant, Second IRB.
