Report by Akshya Rout; Jajpur: With Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hinting at a ministry reshuffle early this month after the alleged ‘coup’ attempt episode by the senior suspended party leader Pyarimohan  Mohapatra, Speculations running rife among the denizens of jajpur about the Induction of Dharmasala MLA Kalpataru Das and Badchana MLA Amar Prasad Satpathy in the ministry.

According to political observers, these two MLAs Das and Satapathy are the most deserving candidates and also in the good book of Naveen. “Das is very known as an anti-Pyari man among the party and also played a major role in weaning away some of the party legislators from the Pyari camp on the crucial night of May 29,” observed political observers.

Sources also revealed that though Das has headed the Dharmasala constituency four times with a remarkable margin, he was not able to get a ministerial berth due to Pyarimohan Mohapatra. Political also observed that Das and Satpathy who along with his other three NCP colleagues merged with the BJD recently in all likelihood may get a chance in the ministry reshuffle.

“It is now a fact that the Chief Minister is looking suitable-anti-Pyari faces around him, may it be in his ministry, administration. And it is the most important criteria for him to select somebody in his ministry,” said observers adding that these two ‘experienced’ and ‘seasoned’ politicians are fulfilling this criteria in this regard.”

Sources also revealed that, the chief minister has already been informed by the intelligence and party sources about the popularity and work-culture of Das in his area and in the party. “During the tenure of Kalpataru Das, Dharmasala has gone to a new height in the state in general and in the district in particular. While Dharmasala block has received the ‘best block’ award almost all the government plans and programmes are being implemented in letter and spirit through his direct supervision,” said political observers.
 
Sources also said that as Satapathy was the minister in the first term of Naveen’s government, the later has no problem with him in inducting Satpathy in his ministry. Prafulla Ghadei is the only one minister form this district in the present government.
