Bhubaneswar: The State police has start search of prime accused in Guwahati molestation case following phone tracking. Police sounded an alert following reports that one of the accused in the Guwahati molestation case Amar Jyoti Kalita was in the city but he remained untraced so far.
The search operation was triggered in the wake of tracking of Kalita's phone two days back which hinted that he had called someone in the city. Earlier, Assam Police on Sunday arrested two more persons in connection with the mob molestation incident. It also suspended a sub-inspector in the case. Four more remain on the run, while one is yet to be identified, according to the police.
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had on Saturday set a 48-hour deadline for the police to nab the culprits. A Special Task Force was also constituted to look into the matter.
