Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: While complete Northern grid had collapsed once again today, and subsequently the Eastern grid also failed completely, during the day, only two stations were supporting the Eastern grid.
The only two power stations supporting the Eastern Grid were the Ib Thermal Power Station (ITPS) of Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) in Jharsuguda district and the hydro power station of OHPC at Burla.
The state PSU OPGC was quite impressive as its two units at ITPS were holding good, producing 175MW and 195MW each and supporting the eastern grid.
