Report by Saumya Parida; Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal’s disgraced leader and Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra on Saturday resigns as BJD Parliamentary Party leader in Rajya Sabha. He sent his resignation letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman. This was informed by MP Mohapatra to media at Bhubaneswar.
Mohapatra said he sent his resignation letter today morning to to Rajya Sabha Chairman. On question why he resigned from this post he said that it is due to lack of communication between him and party chief.
It should be noted that Mohapatra was suspended from party after alleged coup plot against CM Naveen Patnaik on May 29. Mohapatra, a bureaucrat-turned key strategist and an adviser to Patnaik for over a decade, who has turned a dissident leader now.
