Report by Priyabrata Nayak; Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen pattnaik today reviewed several water irrigation projects for Nabarangapur districts. In this review meeting Indrabati water irrigation project, Turi-Guntat irrigation project, lower vaskel project along with other check-dam and mega-lift irrigation projects were discussed. Chief Minister asked concerned authorities to expedite these project works.
According to the information known from this meeting through the Indrabati water reservoir tunnel fifteen hectors of land will be irrigated and the survey work is on for this project. 1489 hectors of cultivation land will be benefited with construction of four check-dams at Indrabati river and these check-dams will come up at Tokiguda, Bhitarabadi, Miniguda and Bangalaguda.
It was discussed to irrigate 4080 hectors land of villages like Dahibhat, Ekamba, Nuagaon and Parjamiwiguda of Nandahandi block, four mega lift projects will be set up. On the other hand lower bhaskel irrigation project, Turi-guntak project and Tel irrigation project were placed in this discussion. Nabarangpur legislator Manohar randhari, Chief Secretary Bijay kumar pattnaik, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Aditya Prasad padhi and Water resource secretary Suresh mohapatra were present in this review meeting.
