Report By Ananta Prasad; Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to introduce with the stake holders after being sworn as the IPR Minister Arun Sahu visited the Press Lounge at State Secretariat this afternoon. Media people welcomed the minister with much citation.
Bhubaneswar jurnos informed Mr Sahu regarding the problems at the press lounge. They urged the minister for day to day problems like Brodband Internet facility, STD Fax, Press Release in Odia & English language, LED TV inside lounge, spacious room for journalists etc.
Jurnos also requested to simplify the process of availing Journalist Welfare fund, introducing Health Insurance for journalists, accelerate the pension scheme, Identification of journalists, regular availability of Odisha Review and Utkal Prasanga, Providing Government Telephone directory to all journalists.
Mr Sahu assured to consider all their demands and necessities that journalists raised before him. He also urged the journalists to work with all honest efforts for the betterment of the state.
