Report by Kishore Dash & Deba Prasad Dash, Malkangiri: While less than twenty four hours has not passed since the cops detected three PETN made Codec pressure mines underneath a tree at Sikhpalli and later diffused by the bomb disposal squad from Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening, the Border Security Forces of Sikhpalli post found four more mines near a tree on Friday, some 200 meter from the place where the mines were detected yesterday. The paramilitary forces with the help of sniffer dongs today traced out the four mines there during the search operation, said the Superintendent of Police. Immediately the BSF authorities informed the Superintendent of Police Akhileswar Singh who accompanied by BSF 39th Battalion Commandant Gur Iqbal Singh Mand and the bomb disposal squad from the district headquarter rushed to the spot, police sources said. On arrival at the spot, the squad members in an hour-long operation first diffused the mines and later exploded it in presence of S.P Akhileswar Singh and BSF 39th Battalion Commandant Gur Iqbal Singh Mand. Mean while the cops apprehends of more pressure mines being planted at different places targeting them.
