Report by Pravuprasad Routray; Bhubaneswar: 'Academy for MediaLearning' (AML), the premier media finishing school and audio-visual production centre of eastern India and 'Odisha Media Info Service Private Limited' (OMIS), the parent organization of leading news portal 'OdishaDiary', enters into an understanding for greater cooperation and collaboration in the area of academic-industry partnership. Mr. Nilambar Rath, Director & CEO, Media Learning and Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Founder and Director of OMIS Pvt Ltd signed the understanding at AML campus on Saturday.
As per the understanding the two organizations shall work towards industry partnership covering the areas of knowledge sharing, resource exchange, content creation and distribution. Similarly, OMIS, having a bouquet of web portals (like orissadiary, e-india diary, india education diary, e-india education, odishan), shall support Media Learning students in the aspects of internship and placement. The understanding shall also activate both the teams to work in the direction of campaigns incorporating social, economic and cultural causes.
'Academy for Media Learning' (AML) is an innovative media learning and production center of eastern India with its Head Quarters at Bhubaneswar. With its unique and industry-aligned curriculum design, state of art infrastructure and distinct academic approach, it aims to bridge the gap between the demand for and supply of skilled professionals in the media and entertainment industry.
In the current academic session, AML has launched various courses including the first ever broadcast media programme in Odisha. Similarly, OdishaDiary is a leading web portal which has been in operations since 2005. After the success of the web news venture, the organisation has entered into a bouquet of portals covering the categories like news, education and entertainment. The organisation has recently started another web initiative in the name of Odishan to present news and information to the global audience in Odia language.
