Report by Manoranjan Routray; Koraput: Two tribal boys Rauta Wadeka, 20 and Braja Sirika, 20 are surrendered before the DIG,BSF, Akhileswar Singh at Koraput on 24th September 2012, said the DIG of Police (SWR), S Debadutta Singh in a press meet here t Koraput on 24th September. The boys are resident of Podapadar village under Narayanpatna block of Koraput district.
Both the surrendered misguided youths are party members of Srikakulam-Koraput joint divisional committee of CPI Maoist, said SP, Koraput Abinash Kumar in the press meet.
The surrendered youths are also performed bodyguard duty to Nachika Linga, President of Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangha (CMAS), said the police in a press note in the meet.
According to the police both the boys are involved in burning of a commander jeep at Makhiri village on 27th September 2011, present at the time of exchange of fire between BSF and Maoists near Kanchanpadu villge, Exchange of fire between SOG/Greyhound and Maoists near samna Village on 6th May 2010 and present with Nachika Linga at the time of SOG/BSF raid and recovered Arms/Amunitions in village upper Renga on 27th July 2011.
The two tribal boys said, that they decided to surrender as they were frustrated with the Maoists and they regularly exploited and tortured by the Maoist cadres.
Among others District Magistrate & Collector Sachin R Jadhav, Second Commandant, BSF, R.S. Minz, Deputy Commandant, BSF, Satya, SDPO, Niranjan Rout & Y. Jagannatha Rao, DSP, intelligence, K.K. Shah and IIC, Koraput town police station, Subash Chandra Rayguru are present in the Press meet.
