Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government to enact new tourism policy within 2 months. This was informed by the Principal Secretary Ashok Kumar Tripathy.
He said this on the occasion of world tourism day celebration by Odisha tourism Department at Rabindra Mandap. By visiting our state we get a chance with tourist for interaction which helps for strengthening our culture & integration. Sustainable energy is the golden thread and that connects economic growth, social equity and a climate and environment that enables the world to thrive. This initiative is bringing together Government, private sector and civil society in a partnership that’s delivering real result. The theme indirectly has three objectives, double the renewal energy efficiently improvement and provide universal energy access.
A new tourism policy will come up within two months said Principal Secretary Ashok Kumar Tripathy as guest of honour. Odisha has a rich culture and heritage. So cleanliness at the heritage sites should be maintained. It is a practice now most of the hotels are using key card systems and energy saving light bulbs in all the areas to conserve the energy for future use of solar and wind energy is increasing day to day in the hotels located in natural environment.
G.M., OTDC Manoranjan Patanaik, Director Culture Sushil Das, chief of IITTM S K Lenka, President of Travel agent association of Odisha Benjamin Sarman were present on the desk. Department of tourism, Institute of Hotel management,(IHM) and Indian Institute of tourism and Travel management (IITTM) organized a cleanliness drive, under which Khandagiri, Udayagiri and Laxmaneswar temple premises were cleaned. Photography, quiz, debate, painting competitions for school & college students were organized. Souvenir ‘PARIBRAJAKA’ was released by chief guest. Ghoda nacha and a play named a abastav kahani was staged.
