Report from Amarnath Parida; Paradip: BJD leaders are not only collecting extortion in the name of Biju Babu but creating law and order situation in different companies in Paradip so Biju lovers have sought the intervention of chief minister cum president of BJD Mr Naveen Patnaik to take immediate steps for eliminating the name of Biju Babu from different trade unions.

Some Biju Lovers led by Pitamber Tarai who was the spokesman of newly formed Biju Workers Union (BWU) has given his resignation from BWU. His resignation from BWU has once again snowballed into a major political crisis in Jagatsinghpur district. Earlier, Jagatsinghpur MLA Mr Bishnu Das who was the chief advisor of BWU had been resigned from his post in last May due to difference between Das and president of BWU cum Cuttack-Barbati legislator Mr Debasish Samantray.

Mr. Das was its advisor while Barabati-Cuttack legislator Mr. Samantray was its president and former school and mass education minister Mr Pratap Jena, MP Mr Bibhuprasad Tarai, Tirtol legislator Rabi Bhoi and other senior BJD leader were also associated with BJD.

In a press meet on Sunday, Mr Tarai alleged that BWU which had formed on last November ‘2011 to work for the benefit and cause of common & poor people, displaced and land losses has been lost its importance as it is working as sign board union. Many leaders who were associated with this union had been left this union due to difference among BJD leaders, illegal collection of extortion from different companies by selling the name of Biju Babu and their involvement in anti social activities.

Mr Tarai said Biju Babu was proud of Odisha so also we were also proud for the outstanding achievement of Biju Babu for modern Odisha. We were highly inspired by the ideology and personality of Biju Babu in which we are working as leaders in BJD for showing special regard to him. Meanwhile, some BJD leaders have blurred and tarnished the image of Biju Babu to fulfill their goal and collection of huge amount of money from different contractors, companies and officials by selling the name of Biju Babu in which Tarai has been shocked and resigned from BWU on today.

After forming BWU since ten months, its president Mr Samantray has not yet visited union office or not developed relation with the officer bearers of BWU but newly elected office bearers have created anti social activities in Oil refinery project and other industries due to non-payment of extortion and not giving contract work. Even, police has been failed to take action against BWU activists who have been involved in anti social activities because senior BJD leaders are back of these criminals.

Realizing it, Mr Tarai and others have been left this trade union and have warned not to use their name in BWU. Similarly, he has strongly criticized MLA Das for extending his sympathy for demanding compensation to nine Dalit family members after ten months of incidence. His intention is not to help dalit but to create political image in Paradip, the forte of his arch rival Damodar Rout. It may be recalled that four persons were killed and same numbers of people injured due to burst of fire cracker.

Meanwhile, Mr Tarai and his hundreds of supporters have sought the intervention of CM Mr Patnaik to eliminate the name of Biju Babu from fake trade union ;like BWU and have urged him not to give permission BJD leaders and others to use the name of Biju Babu for the interest of BJD party.
