Report by OD bureau, Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee today launches membership campaign in Bhubaneswar.
The membership drive is for three years, from 2012 to 2015. In the presence of thousands of Congress workers, PCC president Niranjan Patanaik launched the membership drive. Party has 35 lakh members now. Party targeting to add 15 lakh members more in this 3 years.
Party senior leaders, in his address, exhorted the Congress workers to go door-to-door in their areas to enroll new party members. He appealed to all the district and block Congress Committee presidents to make membership drives in their areas by holding special functions, and give responsibility to Congress workers at the polling-booth level to go door-to-door to enroll the Odisha people as members of the Congress party.
