Bhubaneswar: HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director BP Baligar on Tuesday Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today here at Secretariat. During the meeting CM Patnaik urged Baligar to provide easy loans at nominal interest to the poorer sections to build houses in both in urban and rural areas.

Baligar assured CM Patnaik that the public sector housing and infrastructure body would provide soft housing loans to the BPL section both in urban and rural areas at easy installments. HUDCO CMD assured to provide housing loans to poorer sections at the rate of 8.25 per cent interest with easy installments. The HUDCO CMD also assured the Chief Minister to extend soft loan assistance to the fishing community for building their homes. The Chief Minister advised him to help the State Government in constructing night shelter homes and child homes in the twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, to which Baligar assured to do the needful.

During a meeting with the Odisha Chief Minister , he offered to provide financial packages to the State in the various sectors, including supply of safe drinking water, construction of sewerage and drainage system in urban areas, cold storages and godowns for additional storage space for food grains and essential commodities.
