Bhubaneswar: The Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) on Sunday attributed it to lackadaisical attitude of the UPA Government for Odisha, particularly to the State Congress.
“It was reported in the media that one of the tribal Congress MPs may join the Union Ministry, but it did not happen. It clearly exposes how Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi think for the betterment of Odisha, particularly of the SC and ST population in the State,” said BYJD general secretary Bijaya Kumar Nayak.
He said that it is a living example of step-motherly attitude of the UPA Government, an eye-wash to divert the mind of the people from large scale scams by the Centre.
Nayak urged the State Congress unit leaders to work for the interest of the State above political consideration. “During the last eight years of UPA regime, Odisha has got no significant help from the Centre,” he alleged.
