OdishaDiary Editor Rashmi Ranjan Parida Featured on leading Odia daily The Samaj
Report by Kamala Kanta Dash, Melbourne: Our Editor-in-Chief, Mr Rashmi Ranjan Parida has been featured on The Samaj Sunday on November 25, 2012. This is a proud moment for all of us who have been working for OdishaDiary (OD) from the very beginning and those of us who joined later to work for expansion and consolidation. The feature story is written by Ramakanta Mahananda on Page-3 of the Sunday Supplement of today's Samaj.

The story starts with the vision of our editor and how he successfully faced several challenges and built a team of like minded friends to shape an organization that would later change the face of online journalism in the state of Odisha. OdishaDiary is visited by more than 50 thousand visitors everyday and has been recognized for its reporting and quality of coverage. Notable acknowledgements have come from Manthan Digital Awards in 2011 and IIM Ahmedabad's invitation to present the case study of OdishaDiary for innovation and incubation funding.

It should be noted that The Samaj (http://www.thesamaja.com), the well known and prestigious newspaper of modern Odisha, was founded by Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das in 1919. The newspaper, which has now multi city editons, is highly trusted and valued for its value based journalism.

After OdishaDiary conferred Odisha Living Legend Awards and Youth Inspiration Awards to leading personalities of the state on November 10, 2012, this profile on the Samaj's Sunday Edition of today is reason for happiness and celebration. Nevertheless, Rashmi and we all at OD are aware that with recognition comes increased responsibility and OdishaDiary remains committed to the cause of Odisha's development and global branding.
