Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik replays development ‘mantra’ ,goes on inauguration spree in Rayagada
Report by Kishore Dash; Bhubaneswar: In the run up to the assembly election, Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik today replayed the success stories of his government in various public meetings while inaugurating several projects at different places in the district. Going in an inauguration spree during his one-day visit to this industrial district, chief minister flagged off and laid foundation stones for as many as a dozen projects in Gunupur, Gudari and district headquarters town.
Naveen accompanied by Rural Development Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh landed at the GCD High school Ground helipad at around 1.15 pm and straight went to Bus stand where he garlanded the statue of his late Chief Minister father Biju Pattnaik. From there he rushed to the collectorate and inaugurated the newly constructed collector’s office building.
Pattnaik later laid the foundation stone for a bridge over river Nagavali at Chekaguda and addressed a tight packed public meeting there. Describing his government as pro people, pattnaik promised to ensure all round development of the people in the state. The Rs. 1 kg rice scheme launched by his government is aimed at providing food security to one and all in the state, Naveen said.
Playing anti-centre card, he alleged that the Congress led UPA government has always shown a step-motherly attitude for state. He listed out the projects and schemes which has helped the poor people of the state. My government is working hard to ensure the wellbeing of the tribal people, the chief minister said.
Addressing the gathering Rural development Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh and agriculture Minister Debi Mishra said the state is making strides in all field ever since Naveen Pattnaik takes the reins of the state.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Rs. 400 crore mega food park, said to be first of its kind in KBK region, at MITS in Bhujbal village. Earlier, Pattnaik accompanied by Minister Bikram Keshari started from Bhubaneswar Airport by a charted flight and landed at Gudari helipad at around 11.00 today and from there he will rushed to Nadiatota to lay the foundation stone for the Gudari-Bainaguda Bridge.
He also distributed ‘patta’ to beneficiaries under Forest Rights Act (FRA) and bicycles among the girl students. During his visit to Gunupur, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Kalyan Mandap near Baghua Deula and laid foundation stone for 33/11 KV line from Akhusingh to Gunupur.
Koraput M.P Jayram Pangi, SC & ST Development Minister Lalbihari Himirika, Agriculture Minister Debi Mishra,Odisha Rural housing Corporation Chairman N.Bhaskar Rao and collector Sashi Bhusan Padhi were accompanied the chief minister during his visit to the district.
Naveen left left Rayagada for JK Pur at around 4.00 pm from where he left for Bhubaneswar.
