A preparatory meeting to this effect was presided over by chief minister and BJD supremo Navin Patnaik at the party state headquarters office here.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Patnaik said that steps would be taken to strengthen the party base.
Necessary instructions have been given to the party functionaries in this regard, he added.
All the party functionaries including presidents of 32 district units and all the senior ministers were present at the meeting.
The BJD president said that emphasis would be given to disseminate the news to the public on the functioning of the BJD for the last 10 years at the congregation scheduled at the Capital High School Ground.
About 2 lakh people from across the state would attend the congregation. Present on the occasion, senior BJD leader and energy minister Surya Narayan Patra said that the meeting discussed about the arrival of the party workers, their stay during the period.
Among others, works minister A U Singhdeo, finance minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei, former ministers Damodar Rout and Kalindi Behera were also present at the meeting.
