Report by OD bureau; Dhenkanal: Yesterday, national farmer leader Anil Hegde who’s fighting for the cause of farmers & educating them to adopt the organic farming for last 30 years, has visited Dhenkanal along with the Krishak Sangharsh Samiti Convener Er. Debashisha Hota.

In the morning at 8 AM, Mr. Hegde met the land losers of RSB Aluminium Plant at Bijadihi of Kamakhyanagar Block & praised the movement & agitations of RSB Jenadesh Khyatigrasth Praja Samiti for the safeguard of the poor cheated Tribal People in the region. All the problems in India are due to increase in large scale differences between the rich & poor and unfortunately the administration favors the rich industrialists against the poor, Hegde mentioned.

Then at 10 AM, a meeting of 120 farmers who have done organized farming in more than thousand acres at Jamunakote village in Bhuban Block, was with Mr Hegde. He was overwhelmed to know that at this age when the farmers stopped to cultivate due to loss in all over India, the farmers of this village have done a miracle by re-starting cultivation. During his visit to their farm-lands, he saw that some unsocial elements forcibly make entry of their cattle to destroy the paddy crops. He enquired about this from the farmers, who informed him that they have complained before the Surapratapapur Out-post, Bhuban police station & Kamakhyanagar SDPO against this type of mischievous activity a number of times, but the police is silent. Hence the nuisance of the unsocial elements increased exponentially. Mr. Hegde warned the police for severe consequences for its inaction.

At 3 PM, he met the land losers of CESC Power Plant at Chhatia of Gondia Block and praised the movement & agitations of CESC Mahimagadi Khyatigrasth Praja Samiti for the safeguard of the poor cheated Tribal People in the region. He advised to agitate till the demands have been fulfilled. Else you’ll be cheated like other companies have been cheated the local people in other parts of India earlier, Hegde commented.

Then, he visited the head-quarter of Mahima Sampraday at Joranda & met the sadhus there.All the meetings are coordinated by Mr. Hota along with Krishak Sangharsh Samiti Secretary Niranjan Sahu, RSB Jenadesh Khyatigrasth Praja Samiti leaders Palau Naik, Sarat Behera, Damodar Sahu & Nibaran Mahabhoi, Jamunakote Sarapanch Natabar Sahu, Samiti District Executive Member Annada Behera & Pravakar Poi, CESC Mahimagadi Khyatigrasth Praja Samiti leaders Chakradhar Sandha, Dhaneswar Rout, Shyam Behera & Mayadhar Rout.
