Paradip: Health and Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rout called upon the people to destroy all Ravans who are against State’s development. Rout graced the programme as chief guest and ignited fire to the effigy of Ravan amidst thousands of spectators. “These Ravanas are against development and are only targeting to mint money in the name of trade union activities,” Rout charged.
He also described disgruntled party leader and MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra as a Ravan. Rout informed the crowd that the office of the Odisha Jan Morcha formed by Mohapatra in Bhubaneswar would be closed down after October 28.
Among others, Vice Chairman of Odisha Planning Board Surendra Nath Nayak, trade union leaders Prabhat Kumar Samantaray, Sudhakar Mantri, Paradip Municipality chairperson Manjulata Jena, vice chairman Basanta Kumar Biswal and Paradip BJD president Kishore Kumar Parida participated. A firework competition was held.
