Phulbani: Security personnel on Wednesday detected a tiffin bomb which was planted by Maoists under a low-level bridge near Padipanga village in Kandhamal district.

Sources said CRPF jawans found the tiffin bomb during combing operation near Padipanga village in Srirampur-Ora GP road under Kotagarh police limits. The bomb was immediately defused. Security personnel have detected tiffin bombs at least five times earlier in a span of one year, the sources said, adding that three jawans were killed in a bomb blast on January 3 this year.
