Report by Basanta Rath, Nabarangpur: At least three Maoist cadres were arrested by police in Odisha on Friday at about 11 AM with some explosives and Maoist literature and on Saturday they are forwarded to court.

Police said in a press meet that  Prafulla Chetty, Manoj Dakua and K. Suresh Patnaik, all are resident of  Raighar police limit were arrested from  bus stand of Nabarangpur, when they were about to board a bus.

"We seized from them about 6.3 kg of explosives, some Maoist literature and Rs.63 thousand in cash, five mobile phones, and a banner" district superintendent of police Brajesh Kumar Rai "They are active cadres of the Mainpur Division of the outlawed Communist Party of India-(Maoist) which has been operating in the region. We are investigating if they are involved in any other crimes, and for further interrogation we will pray before court for police remand he added.
