Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Stock Exchange (BhSE) launches a three-month certificate course in capital market in line with the course offered by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The course ``Basics of capital market'' is expected to help students of management, financial professionals and general investors of the capital market. The course structure includes primary and secondary markets, derivatives, forex management, commodity markets, bond markets, mutual funds, hedge funds, fundamental analysis, private equity, venture capital, risk management, portfolio management and valuation.
The short duration certificate programme is a part of the training and awareness programme of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) which aims at involving more potential investors into the equity business.
In the first batch, 37 students inlcuding management graduates, corporate executives, retired government officials and housewives have taken admission. A nominal admission fee of Rs 5,000 is charged from each candidate.
