Bhubaneswar: Orissa Industries Minister Raghunath Mohanty on Tuesday stressed on identification of sick industries. He asked the District Industry Centres’ (DIC) general managers (GMs) to make the right use of the lands allotted by the IDCO for industry purpose by distributing the requisite lands to more and more eligible entrepreneurs in the state.
He was addressing the DIC GMs’ Meet at the State Cooperative Bank Conference Hall here. Mohanty said that the DIC GMs have got a pivotal role to play on the successful implementation of the PMEGP scheme in the state catering to the needs of the rural beneficiaries.
The DICs have been empowered with approving project cost of Rs 50 crore through the single window system and the investors must not be harassed at any cost, the conference stressed. The minister also stressed on the successful implementation of the MSME Policy-2009, besides emphasising on encouraging the rural boys and girls with the Odisha Industrial Policy-2007.
Among others, supplies minister Sharada Nayak, industries secretary Sourav Garg and director Hemant Sharma were present.
