Report by Kahnu Nanda; Paradeep: IFFCO’s Paradeep unit has received three national stature prestigious awards for its outstanding performance on 25 August.
An IFFCO press release issued on Monday revealed that two national awards included as ‘Excellent in Energy Conservation’ and ‘National energy Management Award 2011 conferred by Confederation of Indian industry [CII] Hyderabad. Dr Ajya Mathur , director general of the bureau of Energy Efficiency presented the awards and Mr M R Patel senior executive director IFFCO’s Paradeep unit received the awards in a colorful ceremony held in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile Rotary Club , Bhubaneswar has awarded IFFCO’s Paradeep unit towards its significance performance on ‘Contribution on CSR Activities’ Mr Sashi Varvandkar, Governor , Rotary club presented the award in a function held in Bhubaneswar on 25 August.
After receiving three Prestigious Awards, Mr. Patel expressed satisfaction over continuous progress of IFFCO, Paradeep Unit and said during the year 2010-2011, the unit has made a wonderful performance in the history of IFFCO by achieving an all time high production of 16.62 lakh tonnes of fertilizers, despite the instability in international price of raw materials.
Meanwhile IFFCO Paradeep Unit has been selling surplus Power generated by its captive power plant to GRIDCO, Orissa since last three years.
