Rourkela: TS Suresh, Director (Projects), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) on Friday visited Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). He met GS Prasad, CEO, RSP at his office in the morning. Thereafter he along with the CEO went to various project sites of the plant.
They visited Raw Material Handling Plant, the track hopper, RM storage yard and the Proportioning Building. Later, Suresh visited the new Sinter Plant complex, and took a keen interest in the working of the unit.
The next destination was Blast Furnace-5, from where he proceeded to the PB Station.
At the Steel Melting Shop-II, Suresh inspected the progress of the new BOF and Caster work. Later, he went to the New Coke Ovens Battery-6 complex where he visited the Battery, Coal Chemical and other units. In the afternoon, Suresh attended a meeting at CEOs Conference Hall and reviewed the progress of the projects. Prasad and other senior officers were present.
