Angul: Dinesh Kumar Saraogi has taken over as executive director of Jindal Steel & Power Limited, Angul, from Rajesh Jha. Saraogi has been associated with the OP Jindal Group for more than 24 years. He was heading the JSPL plant in Oman before assuming charge at Angul.

He has earned international reputation for making the US$-500 million plant in Oman operational six months ahead of the schedule.He was spearheading the establishment of the Angul plant as Executive President during 2007 to 2010 before being assigned the Oman job. He is a name to reckon with in the steel sector. He has visited several plants in India and abroad and has a vibrant track record of outstanding performance. With his leadership, the commissioning of the Angul facilities is expected to be accelerated.

As a person of high social sensitivity and amiability, Saraogi is expected to succeed in aligning the business demands with societal aspirations, said his predecessor Jha. The JSPL, Angul is coming up with steel plant of 12.5 MTA in phases and a 810-MW power plant.
