Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: In carrying forward the task of creating more skilled manpower in the state Chief Secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik has asked the Industrial houses to start the Industrial Training Centers ( ITCs) in temporary accommodations or hired buildings by August of the current year. They have been also been asked to engage the trainers and procure equipments well ahead of time. Sri Patnaik has given this direction while reviewing the progress of the establishment of ITCs by Industries and Public Sector Units in the secretariat conference hall today.
Review reveals that 26 Industrial houses and Public Sector Units have signed MOU with Govt for establishing ITCs in different parts of the state. The ITC will be established in Hemagiri of Sundargarh District by Odisha Power Generation Corporation , Banki of Cuttack District by Tata Power Company Ltd., Balgopalpur of Balasore District by Emami Paper Mills, Kalynsingpur of Rauagada District by RSB Metaltech, Bonei of Sundargarh by Surendra Mining Industries, Teleibani, Deogarh District by Monnet Power Company Ltd., Jhumpura of Keonjhar by Uttam Utkal Steels, Lakahnpur of Jharsuguda District by Barath Energy Ltd,, Kirimia block of Jharsuguda by Action Ispat Power Ltd, Koida block of Sundargarh district by Adhunik Metaliks Ltd. In the meanwhile the land for all theses ITCs has been identified. The Collectors of respective districts have been asked to expedite the process of alienation of land for establishment of ITC. Chief secretary Sri Patnaik has directed the industrial houses to start the training activities positively by August,2012 in temporary accommodations or hired buildings. Secretary Employment & Technical Education Dr C.S.Kumar, CMD ,IDCO Pradeep Kumar Jena along with other senior officers and respresentatives from respective industrial houses participated in deliberations.
