Report by Prakash Jena; Bhubaneswar: Today the International Biodiesel Day was observed by KIST and Ever Green Forum at Jaydev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. Forest & Environment Minister Shri Bijayashree Routray has inaugurated the event as Chief Guest.

In his speech he specified that Govt. of Odisha is putting improtance on the research and development of boidiesel production. The Guests of Honour Shri Debiprasad Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, IAS Dr. Chandrasekhar Kumar, Commissioner, Placement and Technical Education and Training Department, IFS Sidhant Das, Member Secretary, State Pollution Control Board Odisha gave their valuable speech regarding biodiesel and its importance.

Among others there were the Chairman, Hi-Tech Group of Institution, Principal of KIST Dr. Payodhar Padhi, Prof. V.S Murty from Hi-Tech, Founder of Ever Green Forum Er. Prakash Ch. Jena shared their valuable views about the biodiesel aspects. Jyotipuspa Das, Bhubaneswar City Secretary, Ever Green Forum represented the Annual-report of Forum.

In this event a souvenir was released by honourable Guests on this occasion students and professor from various colleges of states, scientists and specialists participated in the technical session. In technical session Principal of KIST Dr. Payodhar Padhi, Dr. Achuta Panda, Asst. Prof. of Centurian University discussed the scope and experimental aspects of biodiesel.

The session of the event was co-ordinated by Prof. Suneeta Samantray, KIST college and the vote of thanks was given given by Er. Sitanshu Mishra, Bhubaneswar Vice President, Ever Green Forum.
