Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka and DGM (Corporate Communication), Nalco & Coordinator, Nalco Foundation Anil Bhatt received the 1st batch of tribal children from periphery villages of Damanjodi at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar, today.
Sponsored by Nalco Foundation, the continuous residential education programme, with a financial implication of Rs.70 lakh per year will help about 450 children from the remote periphery villages of Damanjodi, in the tribal-dominated Koraput district of Odisha, where company’s Mines and Refinery are located, to join the mainstream education. For this purpose, the Foundation has signed MoUs with KISS, Koraput Development Foundation (KDF), Jeypore and Bikash Vidyalaya, Koraput.
