Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: ‘Academy for MediaLearning’ (AML), a new generation media finishing school and production centre and ‘InSkills’, the national level skill development brand under ‘Skill Ventures Private Limited’, join hands as knowledge partner. Both the companies sign a MoU and announce their commitment to work together in the areas of skill development in Odisha and other states.
The MoU was signed today between the two at MediaLearning campus, M-6, Samanta Vihar, Bhubaneswar. Prof. Dhanadakant Mishra, Director ‘InSkills’ and Mr. Nilambar Rath, Director and CEO, MediaLearning signed the MoU. Mr. Sudarsan Das, Director InSkills and Sectretary ‘Human Development Foundation’ and Ms. Saumya Parida, Associate Director, ‘Academy for Media Learning’ were present on the occasion. Mr. Tridibesh Bandopadhyay, Director and CEO of ‘InSkills’ conveyed his good wishes message as he was away and could not attend the event.
As per the MoU, InSkills and MediaLearning shall work as Knowledge Partner and develop different innovative courses and training programmes and skill development modules from time-to-time. Being a national partner of ‘National Skill Development Corporation’ (NSDC), Govt. of India, InSkills shall support MediaLearning in the areas of certification. With its multi-state institutional and industry network, InSkills shall also support the partner in sourcing of students and in other academic and technical areas, said Prof. Mishra, Director-InSkills.
On the other hand, MediaLearning shall work as the knowledge partner to InSkills and support the company in the areas of developing industry-oriented programme modules, producing audio-visual course content, e-learning materials etc. MediaLearning shall also extend academic and technical support in conducting different skill development programmes under InSkills banner in various states, says Mr. Nilambar Rath, Director & CEO, AML. InSkills is a consortium formed by management, technology and education & learning professionals created with a special focus on enhancement of employability of young generation beyond conventional mainstream education in India and South Asia. With its Head Quarters at Kolkata, InSkills has extensive plans of skilling more than 1.6 million people in the next 10 years across 15 states of India. InSkills focuses on close industry linkages as well as quality of certification and delivery to ensure that the output from its various programs are readily employable in all the emerging sectors of local economic landscape.
Similarly, ‘Academy for Media Learning’ (AML) is an innovative media learning and production center of eastern India with its Head Quarters at Bhubaneswar. With its unique and industry-aligned curriculum design, state of art infrastructure and distinct academic approach, it aims to bridge the gap between the demand for and supply of skilled professionals in the media and entertainment industry.
In the current academic session, AML has launched various courses including the first ever broadcast media programme in Odisha. AML works in close linkage with the media and entertainment industry and its activities include different mediums of mass communication, i.e. Print, Radio, Television, Web and Multimedia, Digital Media, Advertising, PR and Corporate Communications etc. Apart from media education, training and research, Media Learning runs independent wings on professional video production and the first ever web channel on Odisha in the name of OdishaLIVE.
