Report by OD bureau, Bhubaneswar: Ansuman Das, CMD, Nalco, along with his wife, visited Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) yesterday to interact with more than 200 tribal children of Koraput, who have taken admission in this residential school of Bhubaneswar, being sponsored by Nalco Foundation, the CSR arm of the company. It may be mentioned that Nalco Foundation has identified about 500 children from the tribal belt of Koraput district, where the company’s Mines and Refinery are located, for providing mainstream quality education.
Besides KISS, these children are also being sponsored to Koraput Development Foundation, Jeypore and Bikash Vidyalaya, Koraput. So far, 369 children have been admitted into these 3 institutions. The remaining children are being counseled for admission.
