Puri: The management and the trade unions of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) have resolved to realise the ‘Coal India Vision 2020’.
At a one-day ‘Working Together’, a unique culture in MCL wherein management and the trade unions of the company sit together and delibrate on various issues, held here on Sunday, Septmber 30, 2012, preparedness to achieve the target was dwelt on. MCL, a ‘Mini Ratna’ subsidiary of ‘Maharatna’ Coal India Limited which operates in Odisha, is consistant perfomer recording over 100 million tonnes of annual dry fuel production since 2009.
Animesh Nandan Sahay, chairman-cum-managing director, MCL, inaugurated the seminar with traditional lamp lighting along with senior management and trade union leaders, while Mr Syama Charan Padhi, Director (Personnel) welcomed key management delegates and trade unions leaders from company’s headquarters and operational areas.
In his presentation, Mr Kulamani Biswal, Director (Finance), highlighted various physical and financial data projected to be achieved in 2020.
