Report by Subha Ranjan Nath, Angul: JSPL is on its mission to link Angul with Delhi by air. The duration between two points would be around 2:30 hours. This service will not only benefit people of Angul but also but also the native of adjoining areas. 

From the very beginning JSPL is highly committed towards the all round development of the people of this region. Now, the esteemed Chairman of Jindal Group Shri Naveen Jindal has taken attempt to link Angul and Delhi by air. For this, the company has procured the Brazil made Embroyer ERJ-135 LR and on an experimental basis, the flight operation has been tested. On Monday afternoon on Oct 29, 2012 at about 2 p.m. at Nisha JSPL Airport the 37 seater plane made its first landing. The plane with double formed engine will provide service after procuring the mandatory permissions from the Government, which is critical for operating the flights. Now it is a time bound successful attempt to make the journey between Angul-New Delhi most convenient and time saving. Presently only the Hirakund Express is available for people of Angul who wants to take journey to Delhi.

In future, the people of this region will not have to go to all the way to Bhubaneswar Airport to catch a flight to New Delhi and this way the Angul passengers will be saving at least four valuable hours. The innovative idea of Mr. Naveen Jindal is highly appreciated by the employees of JSPL, public of Angul and adjoining areas.
