Odisha: 11 agencies get NOC to set up Medical College
Bhubaneswar: Health and family welfare minister Damodar Rout on Saturday informed the State Assembly that the state government has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to 11 agencies for establishment of Medical Colleges and Hospitals in the State of which four agencies have established Medical Colleges and Hospitals, informed.

The minister, while replying to a question of MLA Bhujabal Majhi, said that the 11 agencies which have been issued NOCs are, KIMS Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Sum Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, High-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, High-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela, Nabadigant Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar, Blue Hill National Health Care & Educational Trust, Chandpur, (Nayagarh), Eastern India Constructions Ltd, Bhubaneswar, Centre of Joint Disorders (OSL Group), Bhubaneswar, Sibani Educational & Charitable Trust, Jagannathpur (Khurda), Sahayog Health Care & Research Foundation, Keonjhar and Sardar Raj Medical College & Hospital, Jaringi (Kalahandi). 

While four from the top down list have so far established Medical Colleges in the State, others have not yet started. However, there is no specific rule for setting up of Medical College in any specified time frame, Rout informed.
