Bhubaneswar: The state’s single-window clearance committee, headed by the chief secretary, on Saturday cleared three industrial projects amounting to Rs 1,825 crore.
Among the cleared projects was one submitted by the Oceanic Shipyard Limited to set up a vessel manufacturing and repair unit and oilrig offshore structure near the upcoming Dhamra port in Bhadrak district. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 900 crore.
The proposal was approved by the committee, official sources here said.
The other two proposals cleared by the committee are related to hot rolled and cold rolled mills. Both the projects would be established near Kurunti in Dhenkanal district.
Bhuvee Profile and Stainless Private Limited has proposed to set up hot rolled and cold rolled mills with an investment of Rs 492.66 crore in 90 acres. Rabyrun Vinimay Private Limited would establish a cold rolled mill at the same location at an investment of Rs 432.95 crore. The unit, too, required 90 acres.
The MoUs will be signed following the final approval of the high-level clearance authority headed by the chief minister.
The final proposal will be placed before the government after completion of the study on land requirement, said an official of the industry department. The proposed projects are expected to create employment opportunities for 7,500 persons, he added.
