Ten persons injured in group clash at Siali sea beach violence in Erasama area of Jagatsinghpur district

Report by Amarnath Parida; Jagatsinghpur: Ten persons were injured at Siali sea beach under Erasama police limit during picnic on Sunday due to clash between two groups in which police has arrested two accused persons in this connection on Tuesday.

 

Sources said that twenty members of Anchlika Yubak Sangh, Erasama arranged a picnic had gone to Siali sea beach under Erasma police limit on last Sunday. During their return, few addicted miscreants demanded extortion from them to drink liquor at prawn gheri of Padmapur locality of same police station but they protested and refused to meet their demands.

 

Aggrieved miscreants scolded them in filthy language and attacked the members of Sangh by sharp weapon in which ten persons have been injured on last Sunday. The conditions of two persons including Sachindra Das are stated to be critical so they shifted to SCB medical college and hospital, Cuttack for treatment. Other injured have been hospitalised at Erasama medical for treatment.

 

Government has decided to make the Siali beach as tourist spot which has been considered as den of anti socials due to lack of police patrolling and security. District administration has constructed tourist bungalow at the cost of Rs 9 lakh. Some miscreants attacked the watchman and ransacked this building recently in which police had arrested one miscreant Gobind Bera in last week.

 

Sunday incidence has worsened the situation in which tourists have feared to witness this sea beach due to rise of anti social activities. Meanwhile, IIC of Erasama police station Mr Sasadhar Mohapatra has rushed to the spot and has arrested accused persons Naresh Parida and Balkrushna Swain and forwarded them to the court on Tuesday. Meanwhile, locals have demanded to open one police outpost in Siai sea beach for the safety of tourists.
