Sudhakar Patnaik; Koraput (Odisha): The members of the CPI Maoist around 50 to 60 persons abducted four non-tribals who are suspected to be the police informers confined in a village Balipeta under Narayanpatna block of Koraput on Saturday last. Out of four three persons have been released and the fourth person Gokula Pandu a Grama Rozagar Sevak who was looking after the works under Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act was killed last night. The dead body was kept near Balipeta village for public show by the Moist in a place where he was killed suspectedly involved in corruption charges while implementing MNREGA works under Narayanpatna Block in another incident one Nityananda Nag of Buduguda village under kalimela Block of Malkangiri district was killed by the Maoists suspecting him as a police informer. The CPI moist also warned to pay non payment of MNREGA wages to the labourers those who have been executed the works.
In another development the CPI moist leader who is also the secretary Koraput and Srikakulam Districts in a press release warned Ramachandra Meleka, Puvala Soudaram, Pesera, Narendra, Shankar Rao, Periki Akkanna, Turuku Temmanna and Jagga Rao to appear before their Praja Court (Local Court) immediately to avert death sentences already have been issued against them. They also warned the members of the Shanti Committee to dissolve and prevent manufacturing and selling of the liquor and not to face the fate like the others those who have been killed earlier. In the mean time three platoons of Boarder Security force arrived to Koraput and another two platoons of BSF expected to arrive for the purpose of hunting the naxlites in Un-divided Koraput districts. The arrived anti naxal police force housed in different vulnerable places and awaiting for the orders of combing operation.
The Communist party of India Moists decided to organize Bandh on 22nd and 23rd in protest against the deployment of special armed police force in the name of operation Green Hunt/ Operation Godavari or anti naxal operation, price rise, corruption while implementing MNREGA and illegal detention of Ajad in Andhra Pradesh. If un to word incidents took place against Ajad who is also central committee member the Governments have to face the music they warned. One day in advance before Bandh call the pre preparations by CPI moist going on and felled trees in between Narayanpatna- Laxmipur and Narayanpatna- Bandhugaon road. The bus communication facilities completely paralyzed.
