Report by Sangram Ranjan Nath; Anugul: Nearly 500 people affected by  Mandakini Coal limited Kaniha  demonstrate in front of District Administration officeon today. The “ Mandakini jiban jibika surakhya kamiti” arranged the leadership  on that demonstration which is set-up by the villagers BADAKNDURI and KAKUDIA  under  Kaniha Block .

Both Male and female rotated the whole town with flag card with slogan. Kaniha SUCI regional committee, Jindal land affected  Sangram committee, also participated in that rally. Their main demand is the coal company should fulfill their demand as proper compensation, rehabilitation, and permanent employment to land losers.

They also demand the Mandakini Coal Company till date should be give them compensation 50 lacks per acre land which are not occupied till date. The company should valuate the land loser’s well, house, pond, plantation and village’s property like forest, playground, pond, etc. They demand the company should  give them 5 lacks  for making house, Rs 20 thousands transportation of housing material , arranging technical education to unemployment land loser students, spend more amount for peripheral development .

They threatened if the company will not full fill their demand immediately they will close the coal mines. Last 11th June they also gave the memorandum to district magistrate through tahasildar. Today they gave the memorandum to chief minister of Orissa, revenue minister, minister of mines and steel, RDC northern circle Angul, Regional pollution control officer, & General Manager Mandakini Coal limited.  District administration also deployed police arrangement to control the situation.
