Report by Orissa Diary Correspondent; Jagatsinghpur: Hundreds of incensed guardians those children are reading in Patitapaban nodal upper primary school in Ambari village under Tirtol block locked the school building on Tuesday protesting the school sans required number of teachers and the district inspector of schools unheeded about the incident . Sources said following the guardian’s wrath students returned back home and the irate guardians said the agitation would be continued till indefinite period unless their demands are met. According to the guardians said the school caters class 1 to 8 and about 300 students from surrounding villages and only five teachers imparting the learning.
Before summer vacation three teachers had been transferred from the school interestingly the headmaster of the school included in the list and one regular teacher and a Sikhya Sahayak those stay in school are totally unable to control the classes as result both mid day meal and study of the students have been affecting past two months but the inspector of school pays no attention over the school’s problem as result we decided to lock the school on Tuesday, they fumed. Meanwhile the School’s lone permanent lady teacher Menaka Das informed the incident has been informed to inspector of school, Tirtol seeking needful action and admitted classes hampered owing guardian’s agitation.
