Report by Akshya Rout; Jajpur: Ramachandra Mallick, a village level worker (VLW) of Anayasipur panchyat under Bari block in Jajpur district was on Tuesday arrested by the vigilance sleuths after he was caught red handed while accepting Rs 1000 bribe from one Gangadhar Das to issue  an order for an Indira Awas house. Acting on a tip-off the Jajpur vigilance DSP Bhrat Sethi along with a team of officials caught Mallick red-handed.

A case in this connection was registered against him and he was being court forwarded. “Stringent legal departmental action will be initiated against him,” said a senior district administration officer.
