Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: At least 50 BJP supporters were arrested following BJP sponsored Jail Bharo Andolana hosted here on Tuesday protesting union government’s lackadaisical attitude controlling petrol price, checking alleged corruption in governance and returning back the stock pile block money deposited in abroad.

Hundreds of BJP supporters led by district party president Upendra Biswl converged  at collector office here on Tuesday afternoon and held a public meeting where party leaders fumed against union government, they criticized congress led UPA central government has failed in every field and has pushed country in to doldrums, corruption has reached peak in governance, people have been burdened with recent petrol price hike, much hyped debate returning back the black  money deposited in foreign banks have turned deaf ear by union government so BJP decided hosting Jail Bharo Andolan an agitation impressing general public and it will be intensified in coming days, BJP leaders said.

After the public meeting agitated BJP sympathizers rushed towards collector office where cops were present at spot arrested at least 50 front line leaders and later released them in PR bond and the agitation was called off, informed police.
