Report by Kanhu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: One Ajaya Kumar Das [30] a resident of Debhoga village under Jagatsinghpur block sustained injuries following bullet attack by few miscreants of same village and now undergoing treatment at S C B Medical College and hospital, Cuttack.

Police said this firing incident occurred in side Ugratara temple locates in village outskirts on Friday evening when the victim accompanied by his few friends were playing cards inside the temple all as sudden few miscreants reached at spot and fired three rounds targeting Ajay, the bullet hit Ajaya’s chest and hands and he fell down at spot, locals first took him to headquarters hospital here for treatment but his condition turned critical as consequence shifted to SCB Medical College, Cuttack at night.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident might have occurred owing old enmity between victim and miscreants and the culprits would be arrested very soon, claimed Satish Chandra Ray, IIC jagatsinghpur police station.
